“Sensationally Good……A restaurant like this usually sports a Michelin star .....the hotel is new but it’s an attractive building, well designed and architecturally pleasing - not something I often say about new buildings. Outside a fountain sprays; a big gushing fountain rising maybe 4 metres high. In a way, it’s indicative of how The Osprey has been put together – there’s a very evident touch of quality in just about all of it. ........so included in the price of the set menu are two more dishes……......Attention to detail in this kitchen is well above average…..”

“What’s New on the Meeting Scene”
The Market  for meetings, events and conference facilities is more competitive than ever. Doug Casey reports on how a range of hotels and other facilities have been adjusting to the recession. Osprey Hotel + Spa Hotel meeting rooms are always in demand for training purposes and this type of activity has been an important revenue source for the Osprey Hotel in Naas.  According to Eimear Winters, Sales & marketing Manager “We receive business from most business sectors and through some customers have made redundancies in the past year, they still need to train their remaining staff.”
“Over the past year, our facilities were used for many training workshops and overall we had a steady demand for meeting room facilities.  The Osprey is popular because of its location, the dedicated conference centre and the complimentary equipment included in all our meeting rooms.  The outlook for 2010 is positive.”
Some clients are under pressure to reduce costs so we have worked with them as best as we can by offering more added value without compromising our rates, eg; complimentary refreshment breaks.

““Meeting Rooms” – The Dublin region has a huge selection of hotels with meeting rooms and the premier venues are listed in our annual survey. Top tips for successful event – Professionals who oversee events in their hotels or other venues offer their advice on what to look out for when planning your next important meeting, conference or event. Eimear Winters, Osprey Hotel + Spa “Location is key when choosing a venue so it is essential that you pick one which is easily accessible. It is extremely important to arrange site inspection of your chosen venue in order to clarify your exact requirements and to get advice from the hotel. Liase with one person in the lead up to your event. This will make your life easier as you will need to be in constant contact with this person in relation to your specific requirements. The meeting organiser should ensure that the venue has sufficient AV equipment onsite in case they need any last minute equipment. For events where delegates are travelling from all parts of the country, ample car parking facilities are extremely important” BUSINESS PLUS, February 2009

“ESOTERIC GRANDEUR OF THE OSPREY”
The Osprey Hotel + Spa in Naas, Co. Kildare is one of those few venues which are far, far more than the sum of their parts.  Yes, it is a hotel, and yes, it has a world class spa.  But it is more than simply a hotel – it is a destination in itself, a destination for business or for leisure, for meeting, for dining and for relaxing, whether you are an individual or part of a group of delegates.
From the moment that visitors approach the Osprey Complex, they will know that there is something special about the venue.  Self-contained, yet boasting a number of distinct facets, it is a perfect conference venue as well as being a highly enjoyable place to stay.  Even its location offers the best of both worlds- the osprey is only about half an hour from Dublin, but it is especially easily approached from the Kildare side of the M7, which is the main conduit into the capital from the southern part of the country.

“QUIRKY HOTEL WHICH THINKS OUTSIDE THE BOX” – by Caroline Allen
With a ballroom that has statues inspired by the Angel of the North at Gateshead in England and two guardian angles replicating the famous figures at the Hoover Dam, the Osprey Hotel + Spa in Naas is a venue with a difference.
Located off the N7, within 40 minutes drive from Dublin, this independently owned hotel, which specialises in conferences and other corporate events, on eight acres was designed to make an impact.
The arresting design is all about creating interesting internal and external views against a backdrop of vibrant colour hits and original art, with an underlying sense of humour.  Where else would you find a baroque style venue with arched balconies, a 20ft high Statler bar + Waldorf lounge, named after the two grouchy characters from the Muppet Show, and suites called the Sesame and the Elmo?  “While we take our business seriously, we like to adopt a quirky approach and also to think outside the box”, says Eimear Winters, sales & marketing manger at the four star, 104 bedroom hotel.

“One to be noticed.....................Celia Zwahlen visits the Osprey complex to find that its design and concept have been planned to fulfil the needs of any event.
When I walked through the glass doors into the lobby of the Osprey Hotel, I felt instantly that I had stepped into a business environment. A few groups of people had gathered around clusters of tables to debate ideas over a cup of tea – client and advisor closing a deal, colleagues agreeing on a strategy, team partners developing a concept. All this activity seemed to flow naturally with the hotel’s contemporary design, which blends quirky decor with state-of-the-art facilities. I too joined in the business activity as I sat down with Eimear Winters, Sales & Marketing Manager of the four star hotel complex. We discussed how the complex with its hotel, spa, venue and business centre is perfectly suited to cater for the corporate market. Many of the large multinationals that are based in the Kildare area often hire its facilities to hold their conferences, training days or corporate events.” Business & Finance Conference Guide, Spring 2008

“Luxury at every turn........due to high demand further investment has been made in the Osprey conference centre over the past year which has seen the addition of two new meeting rooms called the “Merlin” and the “Fulmar” suites. This has created a 40% increase in the centre’s overall capacity offering clients a total of 18 meeting rooms.” March 2008

“Hotels: key to industry................this is one important reason why the Osprey was established in Naas, Co. Kildare. While Naas is one of the fastest growing towns in Europe, it lacked a place where people could live, work and play in the same environment. And thus the Osprey emerged from the vision of a superb self-contained hub for business, leisure, pleasure and the rest..............The complex constantly upgrades facilities to suit evolving demands in the conferencing and incentive market.” Issue 1 2008

“The Osprey Complex includes a four star Osprey Hotel, Osprey Spa, life: health & leisure, time: bar & venue, Osprey Business Campus and the Osprey Conference centre....................it is located in the heart of the thoroughbred county and is surrounded by the major jewels in Kildare’s crown, such as Mondello racetrack, Punchestown racecourse and the chic shopping outlet, Kildare Village.” March 2008

“..Winters referring to the facilities on offer at the Osprey Hotel and Spa, notes that, by offering spa facilities in combination with leisure facilities such as a gym and swimming pool, guests are offered a complete “well being package”, which is often particularly attractive to men who want to improve their fitness as part of their planned rejuvenation. However, with the growing popularity of spas, the Irish market is in danger of becoming saturated........................
It will be those spas who stay ahead of the competition by implementing innovation combined with unique selling points, high levels of service, value
for money and unique attention to detail that will be successful, says Winters of the Osprey Hotel and Spa.” February 2008

“Arriving at the Osprey Hotel & Spa you realise that you have arrived somewhere unique, a world apart. The Osprey is not merely a hotel, it is a resort. There to meet your every desire.
As you walk up the avenue to the hotel, you catch a glimpse of the magnificent water feature and enter the large reception area and immediately you feel the colour and creativity that went into making this hotel a masterpiece in design.

“Osprey is worth hunting out.........the Osprey has been fully booked for months in the countdown to the Punchestown Irish National Hunt Festival............we have been fully booked for the event for quite some time, says the Osprey’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Eimear Winters.
